Why Choose St. Clair College’s Performing Arts Program?

Do you have a passion for music theatre and have acting, singing and dancing abilities?  Are you looking for a performing arts program in Canada?  Then you should really consider St Clair College’s Performing Arts Program.  St Clair is based in Windsor on the Ontario/Detroit border.

If you enroll for the St Clair College Performing Arts Program you will undertake and intensive performance training program under professional instructors.  The course includes training for both stage and film as well as vocal and musician work. Your vocal work will include techniques, interpretation and solo work.  You will even have the opportunity of having one to one tutorials.  You will be training in musicianship with key board instruction, singing, elementary composition and even choral work. For you dance instruction you will have very wide training in jazz, tap, ballet and of course modern styles.  We want you to have an overall training experience so we will integrate your voice, music and dancing courses.  Of course we expect you to be serious about your training and our environment is well disciplined.  If you love performing and are able to demonstrate voice potential and have a strong work ethic then St Clair Performing Art Program is for you.

The St Clair, Windsor campus is situated on the river with breathtaking views of both Southern Ontario and the Detroit skyline.  It also houses a 1,200 seater state of the art venue and you will have the opportunity of being part of presentations in this theatre every semester.  Of course, we also offer smaller more intimate studio settings for your productions.

At the end of the St Clair Performing Arts Program graduates may receive credits towards a BA Arts in Applied Theatre or other similar Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Communication at Griffith University. Those that wish to go straight into employment can work in professional theatres, musical theatre, on cruise ships, in theme parks or dinner theatres.  Some of our graduates are voice over actors and some even go onto to work as film or theatre actors.  For those that wish to remain behind the scenes there are many stage  and product administration roles available after passing the St Clair Performing Arts Program.
